1. OBJECTIVE

The purpose of this competition is to encourage the development of critical thinking, research, creativity and originality in students, valuing the production of texts in English. The proposal is to reflect on the life and legacy of Terry Fox.

2. THEME

The theme of the essay is: Terry Fox: What Inspires You?

3. PARTICIPATION

3.1. The essay must be original, unpublished, creative, coherent, relevant to the theme, with ideas and vocabulary appropriate to the category of participants.

3.2. The text must contain a minimum of 20 lines and a maximum of 30 lines.

3.3. The competition is exclusive to students in Y5, Y6, Y7 and Y8 .

3.4. Teachers must encourage student participation.

3,5 Essays must be written in person at Maple Bear Teresina.

3.6. Essays that do not comply with the criteria of these regulations, that deviate from the proposed theme, or that contain incorrect and/or incomplete personal data will be disregarded.

4. REGISTRATION AND DEADLINES

4.1. Students from Maple Bear Teresina or other institutions may participate, as long as they are enrolled in Elementary School.

4.2. Registration is free.
